Flinders Island Eco Escape is a private island retreat nestled in the Investigator Group Marine Park, 35km south west of Elliston on the Eyre Peninsula.  Welcoming just one group of guests at a time offers a chance to exclusively live and feel the freedom of the island lifestyle.

Your Coastal Abode

Eyrewoolf Homestead is situated on the absolute beachfront in idyllic Groper Bay, with spectacular views of the rugged coastline toward Topgallant Isles. The thoughtful accommodation is fully self contained, and onsite staff assistance ensures a private island experience like no other!

For the comfort of our guests homestead capacity is 12 people.

  • Main house has 1 queen room, 1 king/split king room, 2 twin rooms, and a single room.  Outhouse rooms include 1 double +1 single, and a second double with adjoining king single.  All linen in supplied.
  • Fully equipped kitchen with basic pantry items.  Includes; Microwave, dishwasher, breadmaker (flour/yeast supplied), automatic coffee machine (& beans).  Fridges & freezers.
  • Main bathroom with shower and bath, and separate toilet.  Our second bathroom is conveniently located outdoors for guest privacy and easy access after returning from your beach adventures.
  • Soap Aid bulk amenities, an Australian based charity supporting communities in need.  We supply shampoo, conditioner & body wash, pack lighter and leave yours at home!
  • Laundry with auto washing machine. Washing powder supplied.
  • Starlink high-speed, low-latency broadband internet.
  • Digital TV with WIFI connectivity (Netflix/Disney), and satellite TV service.
  • Mobile phone service.  Due to our remote location 3G/4G mobile range is subject to weather conditions.  WIFI calling is available via the Starlink satellite connection.  Flinders Island guest house landline also available.
  • Outdoor setting for 12 guests, BBQ and fire pit area.
  • 4WD vehicles available for guest use.  All fuel supplied.
  • Flinders Island airstrip is located at the main homestead.

Little Things to Remember

  • Bring you own food & drink – basic pantry items supplied
  • Beach gear – towels, wetsuits, sunscreen lotion & hats
  • Personal insect repellant if required
  • Fishing gear
  • Personal medications.  We are well equipped with first aid kits, as well as a RFDS medical chest for emergency use, but it is best to be prepared.
  • Jacket and sneakers/suitable footwear for hiking and cliff walks.
  • Due to our off grid nature we appreciate guests bringing minimal glass i.e. wine bottles, rather please use cans or flask/cartons that can easily be crushed and returned to the mainland for recycling.
  • Waterbottles, wide brim hats, t-shirts & jumpers are available for purchase.
