Flinders Island Eco Escape offers a chance to live and feel the freedom of the island lifestyle.  Explore empty beaches, breathe pure sea air and experience nature at its purest.

  • Absolute beachfront accommodation with stunning views.
  • Fully self contained house with all linen supplied.
  • Sleeps up to 12 people.  Main house has 1 queen room, 1 king/split king room, 2 twins, and a single.  Outhouse rooms include 1 double +1 single, and a second 1 double with adjoining 1 single.  For the comfort of our guests house capacity is 12 people.
  • Fully equipped kitchen with basic pantry items.
  • Includes; Microwave, dishwasher, breadmaker (flour/yeast supplied), automatic coffee machine (& beans).
  • Fridges & freezer.
  • Two bathrooms and second separate toilet.
  • Soap Aid bulk amenities, an Australian based charity supporting communities in need.  We supply shampoo, conditioner & body wash, pack lighter and leave yours at home!
  • Laundry with auto washing machine.
  • Starlink high-speed, low-latency broadband internet.
  • VAST satellite TV service.
  • Digital TV with WIFI connectivity (Netflix/Disney etc).
  • Mobile phone service.  Due to our remote location 3G/4G mobile range is subject to weather conditions.  WIFI calling is available via the high speed Starlink satellite connection. 
  • Flinders Island guest house landline also available.
  • Outdoor BBQ and fire pit area (seasonal fire danger restrictions apply).
  • 4WD vehicle available for guest use.
  • Flinders Island airstrip is located at the main homestead.

What to bring on your trip!

  • Bring you own food & drink – basic pantry items supplied
  • Beach gear – towels, wetsuits, sunscreen lotion & hats
  • Personal insect repellant if required
  • Fishing gear
  • Jacket and sneakers/suitable footwear for hiking and cliff walks
  • Due to our off grid nature we appreciate guests bringing minimal glass i.e. wine bottles, rather please use cans or flask/cartons that can easily be crushed and returned to the mainland for recycling.

  • Observe the many varieties of seabirds. Add your sightings to our opportunistic bird sightings on Flinders Island data portal, register through Atlas of Living Australia to record your sightings.

There is a risk that unfavourable weather (particularly in the winter months) may impact travel plans.  We require our guests to be flexible and prepared for the possibility of travel a day either side of the booked dates. Our team will be in continued contact with guest in the lead up to travel to ensure the best possible outcome for all.  In the unlilkely event that travel is not possible at all, a full refund will be issued.
